Premiere Week, Part 1

Two nights of new and returning show premieres have passed. Here's a breakdown of what I've seen:

Monday: Chuck, Heroes
Actually I recorded three shows on Monday - the two above and Journeyman. But, I haven't watched Journeyman yet, so that will have to wait. What I did see surprised me a lot though. The season finale of Heroes last May did not go out with the bang I was expecting...and the premiere didn't start the way I expected, either. There were a few "WTF" moments, but other than that, to be honest, Heroes was pretty unremarkable. To me, the premiere of Chuck, which aired right before Heroes, was much more engaging...and that's sad. Chuck was laugh out loud funny in numerous scenes. It was a bit unbelievable, but hey, its sci-fi, what do you expect? Besides, I can relate to the main character of the series. :P

Tuesday: House
I haven't watched House from the beginning, I mostly just got into it about midway through last season, since it aired right after American Idol. The premiere was decent (better than Heroes, to be honest). Nothing extraordinary happened, but the best part of the show was the scenes where House tried to find his guitar. Sorry, but I just didn't find the patient's case very appealing.

Also airing on Tuesday evening was the Bones premiere. This will have to stay on my DVR for a bit, as we're still in the middle of watching season two on DVD. We have to catch up!
