So, I was thinking of ideas for a Stargate header image. I found the font, as you can see. But it is next to impossible to find decent images of things that I want! First, I wanted a side shot of the SG-1 stargate. Took me for-fraking-ever to find the one I used above. All the ones that are common are side shots of the "explosion" effect when the gate is activated, but they're all low-res screen-caps that looked horrible.
So, my next idea was to find a night shot of the city of Atlantis, which has been seen digitally in a couple Atlantis episodes - once just a couple weeks ago. It looked awesome. I found one wallpaper that must've taken a screen cap and blown it up to 1024x768 size, and it looked horrid - so pixelated.
After that, I decided to fall back to my original idea of the SG-1 gate, and finally found the image I used, which I manipulated a bit to get the stargate to sit the way I (kind of) wanted it.
I'm still messing with it, it might change or I might get rid of it completely. I guess it depends if I can come up with something I really like...or not.
