For the last couple weeks it seems like walking down the middle of the office I work in it like walking through a Middle-Eastern bazaar. There's all kinds of things to buy that various other people who also work in this office apparently got the permission to sell. Just today there's at least three displays of jewelery that have been set up with a nicely printed note in front of each one that reads: "Looking for a last-minute gift?"
As if the Christmas parties and cheery music weren't enough, now people are trying to get every last penny they can out of their co-worker's pockets by selling stuff at work. If it was up to me, I'd shoot down every last one of those requests to set up shop with, "No, this is a workplace, not a freaking department store!"
