Blowing Stuff Up is Fun!

So, I've played through nearly all of Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. Let's just say, all the things I've heard about it were true. It really is a fun, addictive game. There's nothing like using the Groovitron to make your enemies dance harmlessly shortly before they explode into bolts after you chuck a grenade into the middle of them.

A few reviews I read about the game, however, said that the parts of the game where you have to play as Clank were "awkward". I didn't find them awkward at all, I actually found them extremely fun and different. What I did not like, however, was the forced space battles with the pirates. I hated it in Kingdom Hearts and I hate it in this game.

The only other thing I dislike about Tools of Destruction is the fact that the high-jump was hit or miss. Certain jumps required you to do a high-jump across them. If you didn't succeed, you'd plummet to your doom. If you don't press the buttons just right, instead of a high jump, Ratchet does a spin jump and falls down the hole. There were a couple places that had me pulling my hair out because several times in a row, regardless of position, he would spin jump instead of high jump and I'd be forced to start over from the last "checkpoint".

Other than those two things I mentioned, the game is extremely fun and engaging, with very vast and different environments and a multitude of interesting weapons. Its a definite "must have" for any PS3 owner.
