I'll Give it a Try

I haven't seen many gaming memes, so when I found this one, I figured what the hey, I'll do it and throw it up on my blog. ;)

1. Name a game that you’ve played for over 100 hours or beaten 5 times of more.
Most recently, Final Fantasy XII (played it twice, both times for 100+ hours).

2. Name a game that you’ve been Captain Ahab-obsessed with beating, but it eludes you like that White Whale.
Hmmm...I've beaten everything I own except Oblivion. I don't think I'm ever obsessed with beating a game.

3. Name a company or franchise that would make you more likely to play a game.
Square-Enix (Final Fantasy).

4. Name an company/franchise that has burned some bridges for you.
EA.

5. Name a game that you can and do quote from.
The only one I can really think of is WoW. We quote overused boss phrases quite a bit.

6. Name a game soundtrack that you know all of the lyrics to, or one that you bought after hearing it in the game.
I usually find all the Final Fantasy soundtracks, but most of those tracks don't have lyrics.

7. Name a game that everybody should just shut up about already.
Oh boy, where do I start? Halo, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4...

8. Name a game that you would recommend everyone play.
Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction, Ico, Okami.

9. Name a game that you dominate.
I'm not that conceded, but I do pretty good at a few. I rarely play online unless its WoW though, so my "domination" is probably just in my own mind.

10. Name a game that you initially hated, but grew to love upon giving it a second chance.
Final Fantasy Tactics.

11. Favorite arcade games?
As in...actual arcade games or arcade-style games...?

12. Ever used something you learned in a game in a real life situation?
I once tried casting Silence on my wife, but it didn't work.

13. Name a game that you keep meaning to try but just haven’t yet gotten around to it.
There's a lot here...most notably Persona 3, Jeanne d'Arc, Revenant Wings, Portal, Assassin's Creed, etc...

14. Ever taken a game back because it sucked?
Not one that I purchased, but I have returned rentals within hours.

15. Name a game that made you cry because of the story/characters(and not out of frustration).
Final Fantasy IX.

16. Do you own games that you’ve never played (this includes games that you’ve bought, put in the machine and played once or twice)?
Nope, I wouldn't buy them if I don't intend to play them.

17. What older games would you like to see a new version/sequel of?
Remakes: All the PS1 Final Fantasy games, Earthbound, Secret of Mana on the PSP. Sequels: Legend of Dragoon, Chrono Cross.

18. Did you ever own a weird peripheral(Dance pads/faux guitars included)?
Closest I've come is the original NES light gun...I don't usually buy games with peripherals (Rock Band/Guitar Hero excluded).

19. What’s your favorite/preferred genre of game?
JRPG.

20. What’s the first game you remember playing on a console?
Super Mario Bros on the NES.

21. What are some of the worst games you’ve ever played?
Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology most recently, along with a gamut of free-to-play MMOs.

22. What is the weirdest game you enjoyed?
Odin Sphere.

23. What is the scariest gaming moment you’ve experienced?
Well, I'm not much into games like Resident Evil, so I don't know...

24. Have the games you wanted as a kid been made yet?
Sure.
