I have a hard time setting time aside to blog. I know this is one thing successful bloggers tell you to do, but I just seem to never find that time. I do, however, try blogging ahead of time. I'll start writing something that I'll end up posting a few days down the line, unless its "breaking news" article or something that I want to get out right then and there. My Crisis Core review, for example, took me a week to write and format correctly.
Then, there are some posts, such as this one, I write on the spur of the moment because the thought popped into my head.
I've been trying my best to write a post each day, hopefully at least half of them, if not more, will be more than just an eye candy Star Ocean 4 video. ;) I guess I just haven't found my rhythm, regardless of how long I've actually been blogging.
This isn't a gaming new site and 90% of the news I read on other blogs doesn't interest me more than reading it just so I know what's going on. This isn't a game review site, as I rarely write full reviews of games (although I hope to do more, when time permits). I basically just write about things that strike my fancy at any given moment, hopefully sometimes throw a thought-provoking post out that makes people think.
So, I'm going to continue to attempt to put time aside to blog each day, whether its before bed or during slow periods at work. We'll see how it goes...

Setting Time Aside

I hear you loud and clear, Chad. Finding time to blog is a problem for me too. For what it's worth, I think your idea of setting aside time each day is a good one, and I feel like I've become more consistent since I've done that.
About a month ago I finally decided to get up each morning and write before doing anything else. I realize not everyone can do that (I resisted it for years), but I finally feel like I'm in a routine now.
Best of luck. I enjoy reading your posts, so it's in my best interest to encourage you to keep writing! ;-)
