While I'm on my RTS kick, I'm really looking forward to Civilization Revolution, I have been for quite a while, actually. I'm not afraid to admit that I'm really not much of a PC gamer. I prefer to sit on my sofa and play my PS2/3. The first console-specific Civilization game promises to be really, really well done, incorporating everything that's great about the PC versions into a game that plays well with a console controller.
Unfortunately, its been delayed until July 8 (it original release date was the first week of June). I suppose its even better that I bought Sins of a Solar Empire, maybe that will keep me busy until Civilization Revolution hits store shelves. The good news is that, given the change in release date by a month, there is time for a demo of the game, which will hopefully be hitting the PlayStation Network later this month or early next.
According to the game's official forums, they intend to hold tournaments and award prizes with the demo, as a way to keep people busy and interested in the game until the full version is released. If they have to push the game back, that's a pretty good way to pass the time and still keep all your potential customers busy.
