Skies of Arcadia 2 Announcement Incoming?

JPlaystation is reporting that before we see the new year, Sega will announce a sequel to their Dreamcast original Skies of Arcadia. This is one of my all-time favorite RPGs, and yes, I did play it on the Dreamcast then, later, I replayed the game on Nintendo's GameCube.

While it appears that Skies of Arcadia 2 will primarily be for the Wii, there's the possibility that it will grace PS3 consoles, as well.

The German gaming site Sega-Magazin.de has slightly more information on this, but I can't read German, so I'm at a loss here. Just keep in mind, this is still technically a rumor until we see an official announcement from Sega.
