LittleBigPlanet Woes

I'm considering putting this game on the shelf for a while. Its an online intensive game where 75% of the fun is playing other people's levels, playing with other players online and uploading your own creations. Yet, since release, the servers have been down most of the time. An unscheduled 8-hour maintenance a couple days ago, and now another 8-hour maintenance yesterday (which ended up impacting my play time).

Yesterday when I got home, I figured I'd fire it up and see what new levels might be up before I dove into Valkyria Chronicles, but I couldn't connect. This is highly disappointing and really hurting the game and those who bought it. Note that scheduled maintenance wouldn't be that bad if the servers had been operational in the first place and the players haven't had to put up with all the server outages since release.

However, I did download the free space suit costume from the PSN yesterday afternoon. I've wanted that for my Sackboy ever since it was announced. At least I have the aforementioned Valkyria Chronicles and Midnight Club: Los Angeles to keep me busy until this LBP mess is straightened out.
