Now that I have both a PS3 and a 360, I really should choose which one will be my "primary" console. You know, the console you buy games for if they're multi-platform. I'm really liking how robust the achievement system and the NXE is on the 360, compared to the PS3's new trophy system. It also seems the 360 is the preferred console for many developers when it comes to DLC. For example, as far as I know, the PS3 won't be getting any DLC for games such as Fallout 3 and Tomb Raider: Underworld. Whether that is developer preference or Microsoft's wallet that is making this the case, it doesn't change the fact. Last week I went and traded in my PS3 copy of Oblivion, figuring that if I ever want to play it again, I'd much rather play it on the 360 where all the official DLC is available.
I'm highly considering putting games such as Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed, Burnout Paradise and others on my GameFly queue (or actually buy them if I can find them cheap somewhere), even though I've played them fairly extensively on the PS3.
Obviously, the reason I bought the 360 was for the RPGs that the PS3 will not be seeing anytime soon. But, because I really enjoy how Microsoft handles achievements and such, I'm tempted to purchase Final Fantasy XIII for the 360, assuming it comes out very close to the time the PS3 version hits (I can't wait that long!).
At this point, I am definitely leaning toward making the 360 my primary console, although the PS3 will always be used for Sony-exclusive games and as my DVD/BluRay player of choice.

Chosing a Primary Console
