Back to Basics

I've been blogging for nearly half a decade with very few breaks. I used to focus heavily on the design of the blog, on fancy side-bars and all the inner workings. At one time I was interested in those things. The more time passed, however, the more I realized that those things break way too often and I very much dislike fixing things. Gradually I "downgraded" from "do it all yourself" blogging software to web-based blogging tools, such as Blogger. Even though, I lost interest.

So, now I feel the need to "reinvent" my blog. I'm not sure the focus of the blog will change, its still a personal blog and will focus on topics I find interesting. Yet, its highly simplified. I may experiment with certain additions to this blog from time to time, but its basically there for my friends and family to get an idea of what's going on with me.

And, I'm warning you right now, I'm not at all creative, but I always try to work on that. ;) I just wanted try to start over (again?) and see what happens. Maybe put a little more thought into my posts, maybe sometimes just post "stream of consciousness"...and I'll just take things as they come and see if I can get interested in blogging again - this time through the content instead of the bells and whistles.
