The Holiday Season Begins

It seems like this year, more than any other, the "holiday season" began weeks ago. It used to be that it didn't really start until "Black Friday" - the day after Thanksgiving. I was in Gordmans the other day with Danielle while she was looking for a new purse, and was surprised that they were playing Christmas music already.

Now, I always thought traditionally that didn't start until, again, the day after Thanksgiving. That being said, I could care less what the rest of the world thinks or does, this week will always be the start of the "holiday season" in my mind. And I'm so looking forward to getting Thursday and Friday off work. I'll just have to avoid listing to my favorite radio station until after Christmas, 'cause I'm not big into the constant Christmas music they are so fond of playing...
